Connecting a 24v Battery Bank to a 12v 1200w Power Jack GT Inverter
I have a 1200 watt Power jack grid tie inverter. It is intended for a 12v wind/solar setup but it says it needs a minimum of 14 volts and a maximum of 28 volts. My assumption is that a 24 volt battery bank should work just fine but I’m too chicken to hook it up due to that will warning in the back of my mind that I might fry something trying to do this. This video is really just trying to get 2 things answered: 1. Can I connect a 24v battery bank to a 12v power jack? 2. Can I connect a 12v charge controller to a 24v battery bank for charging? I contacted the seller on ebay and in very broken english they said I can. I’m still skeptical! Any advice you have is greatly appreciated and thanks for watching!

Solar powered shed setup UK
Pictures followed by video tour. (tour starts at 1.20) This is my first attempt at setting up a solar system at home. It is based in my dads shed and has the following characteristics: 12v, 70Ah Deep cycle battery 20W Monocrystaline panel 300W Mains Inverter 12v/20w CFL In future it will be upgraded to have a 100-200w Panel & 1-2000w inverter. Please comment, this set-up is in Wales, Uk and cost a total of about £200 to do.
